6 Steps To The Road To Success

I figured it out after listening to and reading tons of bios of successful millionaires, and billionaires. All of them share the same secrets.

These are patterns I found in all the success stories I’ve studied.

1. Throw fear out the window!

Fear is the official success killer.

2.. Begin “JUMP OFF THE CLIFF” like Barbara Corcoran said on her 8 Lessons for Entrepreneurs or like Nike puts it Just Do It. They all mean the same and they all really mean it. You have to begin in order to get where you want to be.

What ever it is that you want to do, even if you don’t know what you really want, it doesn’t make a difference; you can just start by doing stuff to find out what you are passionate about. I believe that the people who know what they feel passionate about have the key to the success in their life. You have to know what you want, so you can have direction in life. But even a person who knows what they want will never get where they want to be if they don’t begin.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” -Mark Twain

3. Stay motivated and focused

Get rid of negative people and surround yourself with positive uplifting people. Make an action plan if necessary and don’t lose focus. It is people that begin things and lose track of their goals and progress that feel the least satisfied and simply frustrated.

4. Market and Market!

This is a must. Whether it is marketing yourself and your services to marketing a product there are many many ways to do it. It has been said very bluntly by one of my favorite young women entrepreneurs Marie Forleo who calls it her dirty little secret! She says that “it doesn’t matter what you are selling, how you package it will make all the difference of if it sells or not.”

5. Discipline and Determination

Over and over again we listen to how we have to be determined and disciplined and this list of all of these qualities that are necessary to succeed. But these qualities are just ingredients in the recipe of success. What you have to make sure to find and follow are the quantities and instructions. This recipe for success will be your personal strategy whether you take the time to whip it up yourself or have someone create one for you, it is an essential part of a successful journey.

6. Never give up, EVER!

We hear this all the time! But it is often not interpreted correctly. This goes back to all the previous secrets. I mean if you are a drug addict it is in your best interest to give up! However what to never give up means is that once you find out what it is you want AND ALSO what it is you need AND need to do, then you never give up. Because consistency is one of the differences between those who make it and those who never do.

These secrets have been talked about and described in many ways, and overlooked and forgotten. But the real secrets to success are not the words but the words that are applied and transitioned into actions in one’s life.
